Our Basic Excel training course can be carried out in all versions of Microsoft.

All of our Microsoft Excel training courses are full day courses, typically running from 9:30am to 4pm with two coffee breaks and a lunch break throughout to break up the course. Timings can be slightly flexible though to fit in with your needs. We can also create a bespoke course to tailor the contents of the course to your needs. Just ask, we’d be happy to help.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to enable the trainee to create and format individual worksheets learning how to use simple cell and column formatting skills. In addition there will be considerable emphasis placed upon the simple mathematical symbols  and simple functions used in Excel. Navigational procedures like hiding and freezing will be covered along with conditional formatting.

How is the Basic Excel training course structured?
We cover a variety of topics in our basic Excel course. The topics are structured to build on throughout the day. There is also a mid morning break, lunch break and mid afternoon break planned in to make sure that it isn’t too much information for you in one go.

 

Does the training cover the latest Microsoft Office 365 updates?
Definitely. The majority of the content of our Excel training courses transfers across and is compatible with any future updates of Microsoft 365. As well as this though, all of our Excel 365 training courses are reviewed regularly to ensure any new tools and features are not missed out.

 

How can Microsoft Excel training benefit my business?
Excel is one of the most widely used Microsoft packages and so training in it will benefit any member of staff greatly. How do I know if this is the right level course for my Excel training needs?
You will be the best person to know what your knowledge of Excel is. We say that a good indicator of your level, is that if you know at least 80% of the content covered confidently then you are ok to go on the next level course. However if you are unsure, we suggest it is best to do the level to make sure you are confident enough to move onto the next one.
